ABOUT THE MUSEUM: The Gipsoteca’ is a private museum housed inside a prestigous historical school, now the Liceo Artistico Statale di Porta Romana, where numerous renowned artists, designers, architects, fashion designers and costume designers have studied and taught. The Gipsoteca main hall houses an impressive collection of plaster molded reproductions of many important works of Renaissance sculpture and art, modeled from the original sculptures. The museum is not regularly open to the public.
