ABOUT THE HOST: The Animation Centrifuge is a not-for-profit organisation established to provide animators in Scotland with access to a network of experienced animation and visual effects professionals, who can share their knowledge, experience and skills, with students and other aspiring animation and VFX artists, technicians and producers. The organization collaborates with organizations including the Glasgow Caledonian University, Once Were Farmers, Axis Studios and other studios both local and international to bring guest lecturers including top industry talent to help train Scotland’s talent base. Animation Centrifuge and Once Were Farmers presented the 8-week mentor workshop Animation Base Camp 2016 in partnership with Sony Pictures Animation, Creative Scotland, Animation Skillnet, Screen Training Ireland, the Norwegian Film Institute, Viken Filmsenter and Midtnorsk Filmsenter, with additional support from Glasgow Caledonian University, The Foundry and Eurohostel.
